今日は私が担当させてもらった結婚式を紹介します。 ご新郎様はアメリカ人。ご新婦様は日本人。 とある有名な英会話教室の先生同士で知り合ったお二人。 結婚式の打ち合わせも日本語と英語が飛び交っている状態。 ご新郎様は日本語ペラペラだけど、やっぱり長く話す時は どうしても英語になっちゃうみたいで、英語が大の苦手な私は全くチンプンカンプン。 学生時代にもっと英語を勉強しておけば良かった～と後悔した瞬間でした。 そして、式の二日前。 ご新婦のお父様が『自分が会話も出来ない外国人に娘は渡したくない』と 高熱を出して寝込んでしまいました。 そんな様子を見兼ねて新婦のお母様から私へ一本の電話が・・・・。 『バージンロードはお父さんとは歩かずに二人で歩かせるように変更してもらえる？』 『お父さん、ここ１週間くらいみんなが寝静まると一人で泣いてるのよ・・。』と。。 当日、新婦の了承も得てバージンロードはお二人で歩いてもらいました。 でも当日の式後のフラワーシャワーでお父様が目を赤くして泣いている姿が・・・。 私は仕事を忘れてそんな複雑なお父様の気持ちを察し、 仕事を忘れウルっと泣いてしまった瞬間でした。 帰る時も『娘にこんなにも最高の１日を提供してくれた事、本当に感謝しているよ。ありがとう。』と お父様から言ってもらえました。 『一時は結婚式に来るのも辞めようと思った日もあったけど、来てみて本当に良かった。 娘のあんな笑顔は二度と見れないと思う。 今日からは娘達の指導者として陰ながら応援していこうと思えた１日だったよ！』と。。 やっぱり結婚式って毎回、絶対に何かしらの形でドラマがあると思う。 すご～く、この仕事（ウェディングプランナー）をしていて いろいろな人にも出会えるし、気持ちが綺麗になれるシーンとたくさん出会えるの。 一緒に一度の結婚式。絶対に最高の１日を迎えられるように手伝ってあげたい。 すごく最高の仕事だなぁ・・・って改めて心から思えた一日でした♪ きっと、どのご新婦様のお父様もこんな気持ちなんだろうなぁ。。 ○○さん、○○さん末永くお幸せに・・・・（＾＾）
